Laisa Buarque RHAP
Laisa is a registered Hearing Aid Practitioner in Alberta, and holds a Master’s degree in Public Health. Her area of research is in adults with post-lingual hearing loss using cochlear implants. In Brazil, she was part of the team at a referral center in hearing health care, working in the diagnostic team and the early intervention program for newborns with hearing loss.
Laisa was a professor in the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology program at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte. She taught in the areas of Hearing Aid, Educational Audiology and Audiological Assessment courses. We are happy for Laisa to bring her International and in-depth education and expertise in hearing science to our leading edge hearing care team at Audiology Innovations.
Laisa moved to Calgary with her family in 2017. She loves Canada, which she now considers ‘home’, and enjoys spending her free time with family and friends.
Laisa is passionate about assisting people, and she sees hearing care as a way to promote socialization, communication and quality of life for people with hearing loss. When you meet Laisa, you will immediately notice her warm and caring personality that she brings to our team.
