Christy Geng Audiology Innovations

Christy is a Registered Audiologist with more than ten years of experience in both public and private healthcare settings across Alberta. She earned her medical degree from Xuzhou Medical University in China, where she specialized in Otolaryngology following three years general residency, building a strong foundation in ear and hearing sciences. She later completed her Master’s degree in Medical Audiology at the Karolinska Institute in Sweden, further strengthening her expertise in evidence-based, patient-centered hearing care.

Christy’s international training and clinical experience bring a unique depth of knowledge to our clinic at Audiology Innovations. She has worked as an Audiologist in mainland China with Phonak and in a hospital setting as an Otolaryngologist, giving her a comprehensive understanding of hearing health from both medical and rehabilitative perspectives.

Fluent in Mandarin, Christy is proud to be the only Registered Audiologist in Alberta who provides hearing care in Mandarin. This allows our clinic to offer high-level, personalized hearing care to Albertans in their native language — whether English or Mandarin (including 3 different dialects) — ensuring clarity, comfort, and trust throughout the hearing journey.

Christy is known for her kindness, compassion, and dedication. Supporting others comes naturally to her, and she consistently goes the extra mile to ensure her patients feel heard, understood, and confident in their care. She takes great joy in building meaningful connections and helping individuals find hearing solutions that truly fit their daily lives.

Outside the clinic, Christy enjoys singing and jogging, as well as spending time with her adult children. These activities bring creativity, energy, and balance to her life.

We want to know what each patient’s unique hearing challenges are. We therefore complete a thorough audiometric test battery as well as ‘listening in noise’ testing. This gives us a better understanding of the ‘real world’ hearing abilities you have.
