At this time of year, it’s important to BE AWARE of certain sounds that may pose potential dangers. By hearing and recognizing these sounds, you can take necessary precautions to avoid HARM and PROTECT your hearing ANDyourself.
- Tree Branches Breaking: One of the sounds to be cautious of is the breaking or snapping of tree branches. It can help identify animal activity if you are out HIKING or WALKING in nature. Being mindful of your surroundings with GOOD hearing of what is happening around you is important for safety in the fall when animal activity is high and can be aggressive.
- Bike Bells: Another sound to be mindful of is BIKE BELLS. It’s important to be vigilant and aware of your surroundings, especially in areas with many bikers, skateboarders and scooter users to avoid any injuries.
- Hunting Gunfire: It’s hunting season soon, and one sound that accompanies it is LOUD gunfire. It’s crucial to exercise CAUTION around areas where hunting is permitted.
